The City Reset

Hydrafacial at Kucumber Skin Lounge

Many of our guests come in feeling like their skincare has hit a wall, hampered by a stubborn layer of city pollutants and clogged pores. A big fear we hear is that a deep cleansing will leave the face red or compromise the skin barrier for a few days. The opposite is true. The Hydrafacial experience is a high-performance reset that lets your skin breathe again. We don’t want our clients at Kucumber Skin Lounge to settle for anything less.

What is a Hydrafacial?

A Hydrafacial is a non-invasive treatment that uses patented vortex fusion technology to deeply cleanse, pull out impurities, and soak the skin in nourishing serums. It combines physical exfoliation with vacuum-powered extractions to clear away dead skin cells and excess oil while flooding the tissue with hyaluronic acid.

What are the Benefits of Hydrafacial?

The benefits of Hydrafacial go beyond what you'd get from a traditional facial.

  • Immediate Results: You leave with a visible glow and healthier-looking skin after just one treatment.
  • Painless Extractions: Vortex fusion lifts dead skin and debris from congested skin without the poking or prodding of manual squeezing.
  • Refined Texture: Regular sessions stimulate collagen and improve skin texture, giving you a luminous complexion.
  • Targeted Care: We use specialized nourishing serums with fruit extracts to help smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.

Am I a Candidate for Hydrafacial?

The Hydrafacial experience works for almost all skin types, whether you’re dealing with oily skin or aging skin. However, I will turn away patients who have an active cold sore or a bad inflammatory rash because we don't want to spread an infection. If your sensitive skin is having a major flare-up, we'll pause the vacuum steps to keep things calm. Also, if you’ve just had a deep chemical peel or a laser session, your skin barrier needs a little time to recover before we introduce any suction.

What Happens During a Hydrafacial Treatment

At your session, you’ll feel a steady, cool suction that many clients actually find relaxing. We use vortex fusion technology to sweep away dead cells and surface dust. Next is the extraction phase, where the device unclogs pores and extracts impurities that regular washing can’t reach. Finally, we apply nourishing serums that penetrate deeper to clean the skin. We can even add a Perk Lip treatment to reach delicate spots that usually get ignored.

Recovery after Hydrafacial

You’re ready to return to your normal routine the second you stand up. We do suggest skipping the heavy gym session or the sauna for about 24 hours so the hydrating serums can do their job. To keep that visible glow going, we recommend using Viktor Michael post-care products once you get home.

Hydrafacial Results

You'll see a change in your skin tone and skin texture before you even walk out the door. There is no "ugly phase"—no swelling or crustiness like you'd see with some lasers. While the initial effect usually lasts about five to seven days, your skin gets healthier with every session. We suggest regular sessions, about once a month, to keep large pores and sun damage in check over the long haul.

Cost of Hydrafacial

Pricing reflects the customization required for your specific skin concerns. The final price depends on whether we add lymphatic drainage, red LED for aging skin, or blue light therapy for acne-prone skin.

Why Choose Kucumber Skin Lounge?

A machine is only as good as the person using it. While you can find a Hydrafacial in Seattle at plenty of spots, Kucumber is the only medspa in the PNW with its own internal training academy. This means our specialists are experts at reading your skin and adjusting the vortex pressure to handle acne or dark spots without irritating you. We take a clinical, medically overseen approach to your skin health.
